The most underrated baseball anime out there has be this, a great series that shows how Honda Goro who later changed his name to Shigeno becoming a pro baseball, this series show him not able to accept that his birth father died in a baseball game against a player from USA who was the cause of his death, it lead to the fact he made his own family suffer and causing an misunderstanding between him and his son later on in the series. Goro's birth father wanted to ask his teacher to marry him but wasn't they did not get to marry even through she said yes to him, she took Goro in even through Goro's auntie did not agree at first, there we get to him going after his dream as he wants to take the man who killed his father on. Later, she is seen marrying Shigeno who happens to be a friend of Honda and just so happens that he likes her too, they got marry and Goro had to change his name to Shigeno. Goro made friends that is would do anything for him throughout all six season and the OVA series, at the end of the series he got marry to his childhood friend and the two had two kids together. The story goes on, and this time its about unable to expectation/ Goro's son Daigo wanted to be a pro baseball just like his father, as the whole family knows how to play baseball. He unable to do what father is able to do had no choice but to get up on playing base till he met his father's childhood friend's son and they play along each other just like father did in the series.

This series his two part the first part is called Major that features Goro while Major 2nd features his son Daigo. I only seen the anime and I loved this series very much.
