Chapter 014: Seeing Naru as dangerous, Hasami the Huotou prepares to use more strength to defeat her. The ground beneath her feet is crushed by the power she has released and attacks Naru's paper bunny suit and taking out the top of its head. However, Naru is able to make a counter attack that Naru could not dodge. Trying to steel herself from the hit makes her too distracted to see that it was a trap by Naru. She uses paper to create several darts. Although she survives she becomes riddled with holes. Estelle is worried that Hasami might be defeated and even if she increases her power her body may be lost. She then notices that the ground from where Naru smashed the ground before with her paper bunny suit has turned into sand and believes she can make use of it.
Meanwhile, Naru taunts Hasami. The others note on how Naru uses Pyschokinesis to control paper and that with her natural combat instincts make her very dangerous, claiming that though she is Level 3 her skill is that of a Level 4. The girl with the flu mask then tells her to finish the job already. Naru attacks the injured Hasami. But after stomping her, Naru becomes numb and falls over. It is revealed that Hasami has used her magic to turn the sand into Hasami's armor: the Armor of the Dead. Estelle also reveals that the armor not only increases defense but attack as well.
The girl in the flu mask assumes that Estelle's powers is Pyschokinesis but through the use of the dirt and demands Naru to take the battle seriously. She suggests for Naru to use a hammer but it is of no use. As Estelle tells them to give up, the girl in the flu mask sees debris scatter before her. She grabs it but it only falls apart between her fingers. Seeing this, the girl in the flu mask tells Estelle not to get carried away as she now knows how to beat her. The girl in the flu mask tells Naru to carve into Hasami as if she was dirt and she would be able to reach flesh. Hearing this, Naru uses her paper to create an excavator.
Chapter 015: Hasami the Huotou is unable to take on Naru's attacks head on and is forced to dodge them every time, angering Naru. Seeing that Hasami is able to dodge Naru easily, Estelle believes that it is because Naru is unable to create complex components easily, leading to her to believe that they can dodge her. The girl in the flu mask however, somehow being able to read what Estelle is thinking, says that she is not correct and as such orders Naru to attack Estelle. Naru complies and Estelle is unable to dodge. However, at the last moment Hasami arrives and bears the attack for her. The girl in the flu mask orders Naru to let up, and as such continues to press her attack on Hasami. Hasami on the other hand tells her master to escape but Estelle refuses, as she wants Hasami to escape as well. As Hasami's body breaks apart, she tells Estelle that she is unable to comply with that command and that her safety takes priority.
Finally, the gauntlet that Estelle conjured up for her breaks apart, and Hasami is forced to use her bare hands to block Naru's drill. As Hasami is torn into pieces, Estelle begins tearing, begging the Scavengers to stop but it falls on deaf ears. Naru continues her assault once last time as they mock Estelle. Naru's papers disperse again but this time turning into a giant maw like that of a lamprey. However, before they are engulfed but it, Accelerator finally arrives and with a single touch hurtles Naru away.
Chapter 016: Seeing Accelerator's expression, the girl with the flu mask asks Accelerator to join Scavenger, much to her teammates' chagrin. Accelerator just ignores them and looks towards Estelle, Hasami, and Aiho. Estelle thanks Accelerator for coming and saving them. Seeing their condition, Accelerator gets mad, and uses his powers to destroy the ground that the girl in the flu mask stood on as she demands for him to say something. By the time the girl collects herself, she finds Accelerator standing over her and mockingly replies to her question by saying "something".
Using his powers, Accelerator tosses the Tarantula mobile weapon towards her, forcing Nau, Seike, and Ya to come and rescue her. The girl is scared by Accelerator's power, but Naru tells the other girls that they should work together to beat him. Here, the girl in the flu mask believes that no one will be able to overcome Scavenger's combination attack.
The girl in the flu mask uses her Predator to locate Accelerator's location, at which point, Naru catapults Seike towards him and removes Accelerator's friction coefficient. Naru then uses her paper to cover Accelerator in a iron maiden. From there, Ya uses her chemicals to create liquid thermite and tosses it into the iron maiden. There is an explosion but it is muffled by the iron maiden. Estelle can only fear for the worst a the sight of Accelerator's apparent demise.
Believing that Accelerator is dead, Naru says that she wants to use the paper as clothes again. As the iron maiden disperses the girl in the flu mask notices something--he is still alive and unharmed, much to the Scavenger's horror. Estelle is relieved to see him all right and actually uses his name--Accelerator. Hearing this, the girl in the flu mask's worst fears has been realized as they are up against the strongest esper in Academy City.
Chapter 017: Accelerator mocks the Scavengers just before attacking Seike first. Smashing her into a truck and then manipulating her bioelectricity. Accelerator does so and blood spills from Seike's nose as her body twitches uncontrollably, seemingly dead. Seeing this, Naru becomes angry and charges at Accelerator. Ya asks the girl with the flu mask what to do but she is lost for words. Predictably, Naru's attack has no effect on Accelerator, and with a single hand on the ground propels Naru and her bunny suit into the air as spikes of earth spring up and impale it. With her bunny suit destroyed, she likes prone on the ground seemingly traumatized.
Ya seeing her comrades fallen tries to snap their leader out of her stupor, but in an instant, Accelerator is already next to them. Ya jumps back and tries to get her chemicals but it is too late, and with a flick of his finger, Ya is knocked back and unconscious. With all but one defeated, Accelerator approaches the girl with the flu mask and taunts her, leading her to pee herself before fainting. And thus the Scavengers have been defeated.
Chapter 018: The battlefield settles and Accelerator comes out the victor. Scavenger has been defeated, but they still live. Now that they are safe, Estelle hurriedly checks Aiho's condition, using her magic to heal her. She also has Hasami get Misaka 10046 to heal her as well. Seeing her hard at work healing the clone, Accelerator could only click his tongue after realizing that Estelle and Hasami went out to go after Misaka 10046 on their own. Estelle points out that even though they did so, it was still with Accelerator's efforts that the clone and Aiho have been saved, and she thanks him for that.
After seeing that both Aiho and Misaka 10046's conditions are fine, Accelerator tells Estelle to stop using the "strange power" she is using and get them to an ambulance. Estelle then says that they need to take care of the Scavenger girls as well, which Accelerator is not too happy about, preferring to have Anti-Skill deal with them instead. Estelle naively points out that the Scavenger's actions were just them not thinking clearly and that Accelerator's actions have thought them a lesson, much to his disbelief.
Then Estelle approaches Accelerator, bowing to him, and then having Hasami bow to him too. They thank him again for all that he has done for them, making him uncomfortable. Accelerator however is focused on Hasami's indecent exposure, and asks why she is naked. Estelle says that she didn't have the time to give her the proper equipment. However, she immediately gets the idea to undress and give her the nurse uniform she is wearing instead to cover her up. Accelerator and Hasami however protest this move. Estelle says that because of her lack of protection, whenever Hasami the Huotou tries to protect Esttell, her Adonai, then she would be putting herself in danger. Estelle admires Accelerator's strength but also his unwavering heart, and wishes to be like him one day. Accelerator scoffs at this and says that Estelle already has an unwavering heart. Estelle denies this, saying that she is weak and also hesitant, crying as she goes. She mentions the name "Hirumi", a name that Accelerator recalls, in which Estelle notes was trying to be strong for the both of them,
Suddenly, Estelle lights up and approaches Accelerator. There, she asks him to make her his apprentice, an idea that simply doesn't appeal to him. Estelle tries to convince Accelerator, but he refuses. She then has Hasami join up with her in forcing him to accept her as his apprentice. As they run circles around him, Accelerator notices something. He grabs the surprised Estelle and throws her aside, as the Coffin Qiong Qi descends into the battlefield.
It is Hishigata, still in his laboratory, and wondering what happened to DA's mission in retrieving Misaka 10046. There the Qion Qi's cameras pick up Accelerator. Hishigata becomes excited at seeing Accelerator, while Accelerator is also intrigued by the enemy that once got away from him. Thus a new battle begins.
