In this episode, Kirito wakes up in a strange place as he tries to recall what happen before coming to this place he was thinking if this place is VR world as he tries to get Kikuoka and Higa Takeru the guy that appear in a single frame in the movie to let him out of this world as his memory are supposed to be blocked in order to protect him, but no he can't seems to get their attention so he tries to log out by calling out but no vain so he explore a little and he heard a sound of remind him of a distant memory not he can't seem to remember... He met Eugeo they had a chat and Eugeo told him that he must be Vector's lost child as Kirito can't remember what happened to him so Eugeo come to that conclusion, Eugeo then promised Kirito to showing around and that he has to wait for him to finish his job for the today to which Kirito agrees to wait for him so that he can show him around the town, Eugeo also introduces himself to Kirito and he tells Kirito about Alice their childhood which Kirito don't remember even Eugeo can't seem to remember or maybe he wasn't sure if this Kirito was the Kirito from before as this is the only part I myself don't really get it but never mind that... Eugeo tells Kirito is not possible for themselves to finish chopping this tree at least not in this lifetime and that his family has been doing this for many generations and will go on
for many more generations, later once Eugeo finish his job with the help of Kirito as Kirito was repaying him for giving food to eat and they return the axe Kirito asked Eugeo why didn't he lock the storage room to which Eugeo tells Kirito by asking did you forget that stealing are not allow at all as stated in the Taboo Index... Much later, Eugeo ws showing Kirito around the town and he ran into a kid who is around the same age as Eugeo, he insults Eugeo and Kirito got kind of pissed by what he said, so he told him that his task is to become a swordsman to which the guy asked Kirito to show him what he got, Kirito showed off his sword skills the guy who shock to see this and was kind of speechless... Once they reach their destination the sister heard Kirito's story and allow him to stay, Eugeo was seem having a brief eye contact with Alice's sister Selka and he avoid looking into her eyes as he is the cost to why Alice was taken away as he thinks that Selka hated him for what happen... Late that night Kirito was thinking what he should do to get out for this place and how to get there, and the episode ends with the appearance of a sexy woman who will debut at a later episode, she is a very important for later half but not seocnd half of the story... The ending theme, reflects Eugeo's life and there is hinting to character's story arc his helplessness during the time Alice got taken away and he was unable to do a single to help her and how much he regards unable to go to her...
