Cardinal's story continues, Kirito learns even more about the system and more about Fluchtlight a term that has appear throughout the past few volumes has been explained. Kirito explained to Eugeo and tells him who Cardinal was and that they need to get to Quinella.
As Kirito and Eugeo leaves the Great Library, Cardinal gives Kirito and Eugeo a drgger and can return back to normal, as it will undo the Synthesis on her.
Kirito and Eugeo goes on to get to the top where Quinella is, along the way the to the top Kirito and Eugeo runs into Synthesis knight. Fanatio attacked Kirito and Eugeo, they manage to defeat her and they run into more knights. After sometime and defeating more knights Alice appears before them, they fought Alice. In the end Eugeo was taken away.
